Terms of Service

By accessing or using Monospace ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Monospace ("we", "us", "our") from the United Kingdom.

Monospace is a cloud-based project management and workspace platform. The Service includes but is not limited to:

To use Monospace, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or fraudulent purposes
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Store or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create within Monospace ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Monospace includes optional AI-powered features (AI assistant, AI code review, AI feature builder). When you use these features:

• Your prompts and relevant context are sent to the AI provider (OpenRouter or your own Anthropic/OpenAI key)
• AI outputs are provided "as is" and should be reviewed before use
• We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content
• You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI outputs before applying them

Monospace offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees.

• Plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any time
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis for annual plans
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

If you create or join an organisation on Monospace:

• Organisation admins can manage members, roles, and project access
• Organisation data is shared among authorised members
• If you leave an organisation, you may lose access to organisation projects
• Organisation owners are responsible for their members' compliance with these Terms

Monospace integrates with third-party services including GitHub, Clerk, Resend, and AI providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

The Monospace name, logo, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by us. You may not use our branding without prior written permission. The Service's source code, design, and architecture are proprietary.

We aim to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security purposes. We will provide reasonable notice for planned maintenance where possible.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will cease immediately
• Your data will be deleted within 30 days (per our Privacy Policy)
• Any outstanding payments remain due

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Monospace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
