Rota — recurring checks on a rolling turn
The other spreadsheet every school keeps, done properly. Give Rota a list — IT rooms, fire extinguishers, fire doors, a minibus — say how often and how many at a time, and it works out the whole year, records what was found when somebody looked, and exports a formatted workbook. Eight presets ship with the columns each check actually needs. Half-turn weights pair small rooms automatically, and the pairings printed under the title are worked out from the rota rather than typed, so the two cannot disagree. It follows your academic year, so Week A and Half Term mean the same thing here as on the timetable — or carries its own dates for a school with no timetable at all. The same file moves both ways with the free Monospace Timetable tool.

Monospace Timetable — a free tool for schools
The timetable engine, pulled out of Monospace and given away. A free, open-source program that turns a school's standing timetable into a properly formatted Excel workbook — one sheet per week for the whole year, colour-coded tabs, a colour per class code and your own facts printed under each room. No account, no server, nothing uploaded; it runs offline as a single HTML file or a portable Windows exe that updates itself. The year it saves is the same file Monospace reads and writes, so a school can move one either way without typing it twice.

Timetable & Booking — the whole school on one grid
One academic year for the school — dates, a one, two or three week cycle and an anchor — with closures measured in weeks, hand pins for when reality wins, and a preview before anything renumbers. One shared shape of school day, room lists that decide what prints, a standing timetable per cycle week, and a published board where a week's changes never touch it. Plus a booking rota whose conflicts resolve per resource across the whole school rather than per department, and an Excel export of the entire year.
One academic year for the whole school — dates, a one, two or three week cycle, and an anchor
Closures as holidays, INSET, bank holidays or one-offs, measured in weeks rather than days
Pin a week by hand when reality wins, and have it survive every rebuild

Inventory — every physical thing the school owns
One asset register for the whole organisation: the estate as a tree of sites, buildings, floors and rooms; where a thing belongs kept separate from who is holding it; spreadsheet import with a dry run and an errors.csv that is your own file back; custody with overdue chasing that needs no setup; stocktakes by scanner; vehicle trips with odometer and fuel; and the money side — depreciation policy per category, month-end posting that freezes a period, disposals, and a movements note that refuses to produce rather than understate.

Curves — every attribute is a lane you can drag
A new project item for the numbers you tune rather than record: damage per tier, cost per supplier, hours per phase. Every attribute is drawn as a lane across a shared entity axis; a probe crosses all of them at one entity and reads out its values; a lane whose cells share a formula shape gets one rule in plain words instead of a copy per row; and dragging a point retunes it with every downstream lane redrawing live. The plain A1 grid is one toggle away.

Every attribute is a horizontal lane drawn as one continuous curve across a shared entity axis, with deliberately uneven lane heights and no vertical rules
Entity names are lifted out of the data into a sticky axis ribbon, so they belong to every lane at once instead of to a first column
A probe line crosses every lane at one entity and each lane head reads out that entity's value — click a lane to place it, ← and → to walk it
A lane whose cells share one formula shape gets a rule, printed in plain words (Damage × Speed) and edited once for every entity at a time; the panel says what it becomes at the probe and how many cells change before it writes
Deliberate edits survive a rule rewrite: a hand-typed value is an override and its handle goes solid, and a cell carrying a different formula is an exception, which the lane head counts ("3 differ")
Drag a point to retune it — downstream lanes redraw live, the pre-drag curves stay as dashed ghosts, Shift snaps to round numbers, Escape reverts the whole gesture, and release is one undo step
Outliers are ringed and quoted as a multiple of the entity below, so a cost spike and the value collapse it causes line up vertically — cause above effect
Errors break the curve with a hollow marker and a count in the lane head instead of red text in a cell; a lane that refers to itself is named rather than spun on
One Curves page per project, organised inside the page: any lane can carry a divider above it (a labelled group heading) or a spacer (the same break with no label), and both travel with the lane when you reorder
Every drag has a keyboard equivalent — probe, lane focus, ±10% nudge, lane height, rule editing and reordering are all reachable without a pointer
The plain cell grid is one toggle away: same data, same cells, =SUM(C2:C21) works as you'd expect, and switching over lands the grid's selection on the entity the probe was reading
Formulas are parsed by an engine we wrote — no eval, no Function constructor. Lane rules desugar to ordinary per-cell A1 formulas, so both views run over one data model
Encrypted at rest; 200 rows x 40 attributes per page (199 entities once a header row names them), 8,000 filled cells and 300 KB
Known gap: inserting a row or column in the grid view moves cells but does not rewrite formula references (appending at the end is unaffected; the menu items say so)

Move projects between orgs
Transfer any project you admin to another org (or to your personal space) without losing data, integrations, or chat history. Handles ownership, permissions, slug collisions, and plan mismatches in a single confirmation flow — with a ridiculous sidebar animation on arrival.
