Introducing the Monospace AI Assistant

Today we are shipping something we have been building toward for a while: a fully integrated AI assistant built right into your Monospace workspace.

What is it?

The AI Assistant appears as a floating chat button in the bottom corner of your dashboard. Click it to open a conversation panel where you can ask questions, give instructions, and let the AI take action on your behalf.

No context switching. No copy-pasting between tools. Just ask, and it gets done.

What can it do?

The assistant has 12 built-in tools that connect directly to your workspace:

• Create boards, cards, tasks, notes, and links
• List the contents of any project section
• Search across your project for cards, tasks, and notes
• Move cards between columns on any board

For example, you can say:

"Create a board called Q2 Roadmap with columns: Backlog, In Progress, Review, Done"

or

"Search for all cards mentioning the API migration and move them to the In Progress column"

The AI understands context and can chain multiple actions together in a single message.

Powered by great models

We use Hunter Alpha for all text-based conversations and reasoning. It is fast, accurate, and handles complex multi-step instructions well.

For image analysis we use Healer Alpha, which is purpose-built for visual understanding.

Image support

Upload screenshots, mockups, wireframes, or any image directly into the chat. The AI will describe what it sees, answer questions about it, and can take follow-up actions based on what you share.

This is especially useful for:

• Reviewing design mockups and creating tasks from feedback
• Uploading a screenshot of a bug and creating a ticket automatically
• Describing a whiteboard photo and turning it into a structured board

Voice input

Tap the microphone icon to dictate instead of type. Your speech is converted to text and sent as a message. Great for quick commands when your hands are busy.

Conversation history

Every conversation is persisted per-user. Come back days later and pick up where you left off. Your AI remembers the context of your last session within that project.

Availability

The AI Assistant is available on Individual Max and Org Corporate+ plans. If you are on a lower tier and want access, you can upgrade from your billing settings.
